Dr. Diane Ragone's presentation at USAID on November 3, 2010
The presentation highlights the botany, ethnobotany, market and food security potential of breadfruit. Native to the Pacific, but now spread through much of the tropics, this fruit tree can provide significant conservation and NRM benefits. It turns out that breadfruit provides critical habitat and nutrients to certain endangered species and can be grown in complex agroforests.
