In addition to forest conservation and debt relief, TFCA is intended to strengthen civil society by creating local foundations to support small grants to NGOs and local communities. The program also offers a unique opportunity for public-private partnerships and the majority of TFCA agreements to date have included funds raised by U.S.-based NGOs. For more information on TFCA contact Scott Lampman.</description> <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher> <dc:creator>jdale</dc:creator> <dc:rights></dc:rights> <dc:subject>Joint USAID-Other Federal Department Initiatives</dc:subject> <dc:date>2006-12-05T22:05:41Z</dc:date> <dc:type>Link</dc:type> </item>
