Participatory Ecotourism Planning

By Juan Carlos Bonilla, 1997 revised 2003, Conservation International (CI) This document presents a model of participatory ecotourism planning based on field experiences of Conservation International (CI). It presents case studies from Guatemala and Peru and a simple step-by-step methodology to approach ecotourism planning using a participatory approach. The case in Guatemala is a particularly good example of the resilience of a participatory planning process.
