Using the Conservation Enterprise Theory of Change Beyond Program Design

In this webinar, Shawn Peabody (Measuring Impact) presents an approach to integrating monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems for conservation enterprises activities. Shawn illustrates this process with a teaching example from sea cucumber farming in Madagascar and shows how the generalize conservation enterprises theory of change can be adapted to a local context and used to identify knowledge gaps and learning questions. He then provides tips on prioritizing and refining learning questions and then selecting MEL activities with an eye towards applying the new knowledge. Megan Hill (E3/FAB) leads a discussion with USAID staff on existing MEL efforts by missions and how the approach that Shawn describes might be applied.
