The Fourth Global Fisheries Enforcement Training Workshop (GFETW)

Fisheries Practitioner level training and briefings held in San José, Costa Rica. The GFETW series are trademark events of the International MCS Network.

The Fourth Global Fisheries Enforcement Training Workshop (GFETW) hosted by the International Monitoring, Control, and Surveillance (MCS) Network focused on the theme of protection of artisinal and regional communities through the promotion of legal, reported, and regulated fisheries. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries Office of Law Enforcement (OLE) Assistant Director of Operations gave a presentation on combating IUU fishing in the context of the Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries, and Food Security (CTI-CFF) partnership.
