As a first activity under AGENT (then GECCO) in 2014, this workshop marked a significant first step in the organizations’ collaborative effort to enhance action on gender-responsive climate change action. The workshop functioned as a learning exchange for fifty-two participants from more than twenty countries, convening leading experts, government representatives, and practitioners from international, national and subnational levels to engage in dialogue, identify lessons and best practices, and map concrete steps forward to advance the gender and REDD+ agenda. This technical workshop summary report includes 18 overview case studies of specific gender and REDD+ initiatives around the world, along identification of gaps and priority actions to address these at multiple levels.
