As more and more applications are developed and spread, it's a matter of time before we find out which ones are sustainable and, therein, what the best practices, lessons learned, and enablers are.
  • At the ABCG event last week, Jill Shermain explored ICT approaches in agriculture, such as extension services, that can be better served or enhanced through ICT integration; what works and fails; and real examples and initiatives--all couched in the transferrability of such approaches to biodiversity conservation and sustainable development. Her presentation is posted on FRAMEweb here.
  • Back in September, USAID Frontlines published an article on how a pilot SMS-based program aims to give individually tailored advice that helps Moroccan farmers conserve resources.
