Tanzania USFS IP Trip Report: Tarangire AWF Assistance; Sept 05

Contributors: Al Todd

In July of 2005, I was asked by International Programs to participate in a technical assistance trip to Tanzania scheduled to be completed prior to the end of 2005. A Forest Service Soil Scientist/Ecologist, Range Conservationist, Planner and Hydrologist had made previous trips to the region, however, the Hydrologist, Greg Bevenger from Region 2, was unavailable for this trip. I was accompanied by Dan Svoboda, Soil Scientist for the Beaverhead Deerlodge National Forest. Dan had participated in 3 previous trips to this same area. All trips were in support of the African Wildlife Foundation.
