Portfolio Director

 

Maliasili Initiatives is seeking a Portfolio Director to play a key role in the delivery of customized organizational development support to our partners.  The Portfolio Director will also play an important technical role, including developing and refining our organizational development programs and service offerings, tools and methodologies. The position will also be closely involved in working with the Executive Director and other members of the team in major strategic initiatives and decisions relating to portfolio development, collaborations and partnerships, and networking and fundraising.

Portfolio Manager
The Portfolio Manager will play a lead role in supporting and facilitating the organizational development of our partners in Kenya and Tanzania. These partners constitute a range of grassroots community-level organizations and national policy networks or coalitions working at the forefront of natural resources management and conservation across wildlife, forestry, and marine resource management.

Independent Specialists and Experts
Maliasili Initiatives is issuing an open call for independent technical experts who can contribute to our work in building the capacity and performance of outstanding African organizations. We are looking for skilled service providers in the following areas:
  • Human resource management, including recruitment, team building, and performance management.
  • Business development, entrepreneurship, and value chain analysis, with a focus on developing sustainable business models linked to nature-based enterprises.
  • Leadership development and coaching.
  • Financial management and budgeting.
  • Strategic analysis, strategic planning and facilitation.

Principal Technical Advisor
DSPA in Central African Republic

Location: The position will be based in Bayanga, CAR
Duration: 2 years renewable
WWF-CAR seeks a Principal Technical Advisor whose major function will be the overall implementation and supervision of its field Programme in support to the CAR Government. They will collaborate for the management of the Dzanga-Sangha Protected Areas (DSPA) and its broader landscape, in its aim to maintain the biodiversity of the south-western forests of the CAR

Principal Technical Advisor
DSPA in Central African Republic

Location: The position will be based in Bayanga, CAR
Duration: 2 years renewable

WWF-CAR seeks a Primate Habituation, Research and Tourism Advisor whose major function will be to provide technical assistance, oversight and leadership to ensure the effective management of the Primate Habituation Programme (PHP), tourism-related activities, and research activities in the Dzanga-Sangha Protected Areas (DSPA), and transfer his/her technical and management knowledge and experience to the DSPA staff.

Chief Financial Officer

Location: Brazzaville, Republic of Congo
The Wildlife Conservation Society seeks a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will be responsible for management of the financial systems, reporting to Central Africa Regional and New York headquarter offices and donors, country budgetary planning, financial reporting and controls, monitoring of and compliance with internal controls, conducting/coordinating operation reviews of project sites, and cash management.

Lead, Strategy, Conservation Solutions/Global Resources
Location: United States

The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) seeks an ambitious and experienced Lead of Strategy to lead external engagement for the Conservation Solutions team. His/her primary responsibilities will be 1) to work closely with the head of Global Corporate Engagement to design and implement a REDD+ marketing strategy.  This strategy will increase the sales of REDD+ credits from WCS' REDD+ portfolio and expand our relationships with the corporate sector; 2) Design and implement strategies to engage with individual, foundation and corporate donors to support WCS's forest conservation and broader climate change work, especially on the West Coast; 3) design and implement communication strategies for CS-led programs, such Intact Forests and Trillion Trees; 4) Act as CS's West Coast representative to donors, partners, and other stakeholders.

Program Assistant - Finance and Logistics

Location: Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo

The African Wildlife Foundation seeks a Program Finance & Logistics Assistant to provide technical support, advice and assistance in Finance to the Congo Landscape Program to ensure compliance with all AWF and donor budgetary and procedural requirements. In addition, this position will also ensure efficient and effective coordination and management of logistics and support landscape procurement to ensure good value for money. This entails the provision to Congo Landscape Manager and staff with regular assistance and advice in understanding, interpreting and implementing AWF and donors policies and procedures regarding finance, assets and procurement along with maintaining a good relationship with and timely reporting to the headquarter and partners.
