Craig's presentation will report on the acceptance of and the potential for holistic planned grazing in these areas: How this helps preserve critical wildlife habitat, influence carbon sequestration, and strengthen indigenous stewardship.
Craig Leggett has been training the pastoral communities of Kenya and Ethiopia in holistic grazing management since 2005. The holistic approach builds upon community values and vision Craig Leggett and uses the readily available livestock as the means for regenerating grasslands, enhancing land-based livelihoods, and creating a respected role for wildlife species.
Craig has studied Rangeland Ecosystem Sciences at Colorado State University and Plant and Soil Sciences at the University of Vermont. He is accredited as a Holistic Management consultant and educator by the Savory Institute.
