We are exploring Web of Science, a software package that would provide easier and more comprehensive access to academic research in the sciences and social sciences, as well as analysis of the impact of USAID-funded research. In addition,  the publisher can also create a customized tool that helps us to measure the degree of innovation in a proposal and peer-reviewed articles among many other interesting features.  The subscription to Web of Science will enable Agency staff to:

  • Find high-impact articles from 12,000 journals in the sciences and social sciences.
  • Uncover relevant results in related fields.
  • Discover emerging trends
  • Identify potential collaborators with significant citation records.
  • Integrate searching, writing, and bibliography creation into one streamlined process.

We have re-invited representatives from the web of science to do an informational presentation on Wednesday, December 5, 9:30-11:00. The demo will take about an hour (including Q&A). After the vendor leaves, please stay for a closed discussion about products and funding decisions.

Below are a couple resources about this tool.
